On behalf of the Organising Committee, I am delighted to inform you that the 8th Venoms to Drugs (V2D2023) conference will be held at Tangalooma Resort, Moreton Island, Brisbane, Australia from October 9 - 14, 2023.

The aim of the V2D meetings, which were inaugurated in 1998, is to bring together leaders in academia and industry working in the field of venoms-based peptide drug discovery. The major theme of the 8th V2D will be Therapeutics, and will cover developments in Discovery, Synthesis, Structure, Pharmacology, Venomics and Drug Development.

Renowned as one of south-east Queensland’s most beautiful island destinations, the stunning Moreton Island selected for this meeting is the third largest sand island worldwide with a stunning array of marine and terrestrial wildlife including dugongs, dolphins, rays and turtles. The venue for the conference, Tangalooma Resort has been completely refurbished and easily reached by ferry from Brisbane.

This is definitely a place to bring a friend or family and leave some time to enjoy the region.
