Where is Moreton Island?
Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world and is 40km north - east of Brisbane. It is home to the highest coastal sand dune in the world - Mount Tempest.
Ferry
Transfers
The easiest way to get to Tangalooma Island Resort is via the 75 minute passenger ferry.
Multiple ferries depart from Holt Street Wharf in Brisbane at various times during the day.
Please arrive 60 minutes prior to your departure time. Bag drop and Ticket Hut close 30 minutes before departure. Boarding commences 30 minutes before departure.
Parking is avalable at the Wharf for $20 per day. Please collect your parking token from the Ticket Hut on arrival before proceeding to the carpark.
Flights
Brisbane airport is the closest airport for international and domestic flights.
To get to Holt Street Wharf is a 10 minute taxi from the airport and 15 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
Unfortunately there are no public bus or train servicers to Holt Street Wharf.

Carry on Luggage
Guest are permitted 1 carry on bag no exceeding 56cm (H) x 36cm (W) x 23cm (D)
Checked-in Luggage
Guests staying in accommodation and travelling on the launch transfers are permitted 1 checked-in piece (max 20kg) per person plus 1 esky per accommodation booking.
Please note you will not have access to your luggage until after you check in. It is recommended you bring a daypack with essentials to enjoy your first day.
