Welcome to V2D2021

UPDATE ON PLANS FOR V2D2020

Due to the travel restrictions in place across Australia and risks associated with COVID-19, the V2D 2020 organising committee have made the decision to postpone V2D 2020 until March 2021.

We have not made this decision lightly but taken due consideration of the health and well-being of all attendees.

The meeting has been rescheduled to March 15 – 19 2021 and will be held in the same venue in Daydream Island, Whitsundays.

The Program itself will be more encompassing than in previous years and peptide chemists and biologists who have missed out on opportunities this year to present their work should consider presenting at this meeting. V2D2021 will cover key advances in the biology, discovery, synthesis, structure, pharmacology, and development of peptides and venom-derived peptide drugs. We encourage you to submit your work for consideration either for an oral or poster presentation.

As always, participant health and safety is of utmost importance to us (COVID-19 or not), and we are ensuring that all the necessary precautions are being taken regarding COVID-19. We will observe all necessary restrictions in place at the time and follow the advice of government and health authorities, keeping you informed of any changes as they develop

Understandably, we are all concerned about the current situation happening around the globe with COVID-19. We wish to reassure all registrants and sponsors that we are closely monitoring the situation and adapting as required to ensure the meeting can proceed as scheduled with a powerful scientific program for V2D at Daydream Island on March 15 – 19 2021.

Thank you,
Emeritus Professor Paul Alewood
